impact-of-and-adaptation-to-climate-changeMost science academies (and members of NASAC) in Africa are underresourced and have limited institutional capacity, while their potential role in society is significant, in particular when it comes to offering independent and evidence-based advice to government and promoting science and science education. By organizing international conferences and conducting stakeholder forums and focused in-country workshops, academies in Africa can become more visible. Regional and international networking also provides new opportunities to science academies.
