Capacity Building
The Capacity Building Grant (CBG) Programme aims to support NASAC member-academies in fulfilling their mandates by addressing pressing organizational challenges that hinder the science-policy-development interface. For more than a decade, NASAC has continually awarded modest and competitive grants for this purpose through the financial support of InterAcademy Partnership (IAP). The funding has been utilized by a majority of members to develop secretariat infrastructure and hold relevant in-country or sub-regional meetings or exchanges.
By fostering collaboration through intra-networking, knowledge exchange, and skill enhancement, the programme equips NASAC members with the tools necessary to drive impactful change within their respective national academies and regional scientific communities.
