The Annual Meeting of African Science Academies (AMASA) 2023

Integrating Gender Equality in STEM Education in Africa

AMASA 2023 is organized in partnership with the Academy of Science of South AfricaGenderInSITE and the InterAcademy Partnership on the theme “Integrating Gender Equality in STEM Education in Africa”The event will deliberate on the findings of the report on Gender Equality at African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) institutions. What are the implications for the findings to academies? What lessons can benefit mainstreaming gender in science academies work?

The event is open to all relevant stakeholders, including NASAC Member Academies, early career researchers and senior academics, potential member academies, gender specialists from various African university faculties and leadership, as well as decision-makers in the private and public sectors.
